Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can get away with. This page explains exactly what that means.

Who we are
Brisbane Crypto operates the website at brisbane-crypto.com. We are an independent information publisher. We are not a financial services provider and we do not hold accounts for anyone. Contact: contact@brisbane-crypto.com.
What we collect
Nothing you have to give us. This site has no login, no account, no newsletter sign-up and no contact form. You can read every page without providing any personal information.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it to reply and for nothing else.
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested: IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp. This is used to keep the site working and to detect abuse.
Analytics. Where we use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read, it is configured to report totals rather than to build profiles of individuals.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own, and this site does not display third-party advertising. Any cookie set by this site is functional. Third-party services we reference may set their own cookies once you leave our site and land on theirs — that is governed by their policies, not ours.
Fonts and external resources
This site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, your IP address is visible to that service as a technical necessity of the request. No other information is shared.
Outbound links and affiliate tracking
Some links to third-party platforms may carry a referral parameter so the platform can attribute a sign-up to us. If you follow such a link, the destination site may record that you arrived from here and may set its own cookies. We do not receive your personal information from those platforms — only aggregate reporting about sign-ups. See our editorial policy for how commercial relationships work.
What we never want you to send us
Please do not email us account passwords, two-factor codes, seed phrases or recovery words, private keys, or scans of identity documents. We have no use for any of it and we do not want to hold it. If you have already sent something like this, tell us and we will delete it.
How long we keep things
Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with the matter and any reasonable follow-up. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short technical retention period. We do not maintain a marketing database.
Disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We disclose it only to our hosting and email providers as necessary to operate the site, or where required by Australian law.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@brisbane-crypto.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are unhappy with our handling of a privacy matter you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be summarised here.
